TYGERS OF PAN TANG, THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND: UK Tour Dates Announced

NWOBHM legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG will team up with THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND, the UK-based group led by former GRIM REAPER/ONSLAUGHT singer Steve Grimmett, for the following UK dates:

Oct. 26 - JBs - Dudley, UK
Oct. 30 - Yardbirds - Grimsby, UK
Nov. 02 - Moses Gate - Bolton, UK
Nov. 06 - Trillians - Newcastle, UK
Nov. 07 - Intake - Mansfield, UK
Nov. 08 - Milkwood Jam Swansea - South Wales, UK

TYGERS' new album, "Animal Instinct", was released in Italy, Germany and Scandinavia on June 9, and was made available and in Japan in mid-July via Marquee/Avalon. The CD is also available in the UK and via the band's official web site.

According to a press release, "Animal Instinct", sees the band "go back to their early roots, playing hard-edged rock in the manner of 'Wildcat' and 'Spellbound'."

THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND released its debut album, "Personal Crisis", in October 2007 via Metal Heaven. This new outfit features Grimmett's former LIONSHEART bandmate Ian Nash on guitar, Pete Newdeck (PAUL DI'ANNO, THE SHOCK) on drums and Ritchie Walker on bass. The record was produced by Pete Newdeck with Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69) and features several guest guest musicians, including Eric Ragno (keyboards; JEFF SCOTT SOTO),Bob Daisley (bass; OZZY OSBOURNE, RAINBOW),Carsten Schulz (EVIDENCE ONE) and Tony Mills (SHY, TNT).
